April 28 Slice of Life Story Challenge: Parking

Parking

You pull into the parking lot of the grocery store,

Squeeze the station wagon into a spot that’s probably too small.

It has been a long, long day.

You reach for the grocery list, the cell phone, the bag.

Quick.

Don’t waste a minute.

But just as you are about to get going a really good song comes on.

So you sit for a moment.

Recline the driver’s seat.

Close your eyes.

Turn up your music.

And just be.

  1. Great reminder to stop and enjoy the little things that make us happy! I was right there with you rushing…and then relaxing!
